Suitcase Checklist
Everyone can do with a little aide-memoire when packing a suitcase, right? Let's face it, packing is exciting and it's easy to forget some essential items that are so commonplace in your life you just don't remember them.

Oh yes, then there's your passport too... but DON'T put it in your suitcase!

Here's a very simple checklist that you may find useful when trying to remember all those items to go into your suitcase.

There's a His and Hers tab on the Excel-format list and I've added some esoteric items just to try and make it fully comprehensive.

Try downloading it and adding your own items.

Just remember to put all liquids above 100ml (that's container size, not volume of liquid in there) in your suitcase.

No sharp pointy things (scissors, tweezers, knives, voodoo dolls with pins) in your hand luggage.

After his return from Rome, Will couldn't find his luggage in the London Gatwick airport baggage area.

So he went to the lost luggage office and told the woman there that his bags hadn't shown up on the carousel. She smiled and told him not to worry because they were trained professionals and he was in good hands.

'Now', she asked Will, 'has your plane arrived yet?'

Just 1% of airline luggage goes astray. Except that means 30 MILLION pieces of luggage get lost every year. They don't tell me how many pieces get reunited with their owners.
